View Full Version : What's the most embarrassing song you've ever gotten stuck in your head?

I have a confession to make. Last week, I saw a horrible commercial for a horrible online university website, and ever since I've had the horrible jingle they use stuck in my head. The song is awful, like some bad mid-80s Top 40 hit sung by a pitchless drone, but for some inexplicable reason it worked its way into my brain and won't leave.
So on that note, are any of you brave enough to share the most embarrassing song, jingle, television commercial, show tune, etc. that may have gotten stuck in your head?

I once had that awful Paris Hilton song stuck in my head for a couple of days. Kept catching myself humming it in public. Not pleasant.

Even though the gods are crazy
Even though the stars are blind
If you show me real love baby
I'll show you mine
I can make it nice and naughty
Be the devil and angel too
Got a heart and soul and body
Let's see what this love can do
Maybe I'm perfect for you

It's really not that embarassing but when you catch urself singing it in public, it is.
The Bad Touch - Bloodhound Gang.
Warning: Explicit lyrics below...
Sweat baby sweat baby sex is a Texas drought
Me and you do the kind of stuff that only Prince would sing about
So put your hands down my pants and I'll bet you'll feel nuts
Yes I'm Siskel, yes I'm Ebert and you're getting two thumbs up
You've had enough of two-hand touch you want it rough you're out of bounds
I want you smothered want you covered like my Waffle House hashbrowns
Come quicker than FedEx never reach an apex just like Coca-Cola stock you are inclined
To make me rise an hour early just like Daylight Savings Time
Do it now
You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals
So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel
Do it again now
You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals
So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel
Gettin' horny now

Gonna show my age here, but not by much (born in '74).
Macho Duck, from Mickey Mouse Disco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mickey_Mouse_Disco). I was 5 when the album came out, and was the first one I ever had.
What's worse is that it is still available (search for it in iTunes; when you listen to the samples, you'll either be reminded of your childhood, gag, choke on your phlegm, or send the psych ward after me).

Maybe not embarrassing, but I always get that damn Crazy song by Gnarls Barkley stuck in my head. Every time I hear it, I want to break things...and then smash the broken pieces with a hammer...and then dissolve the smashed dust into gasoline and set it on fire.
The one that does it to me now, and won't go away, is "Strange Overtones" by David Byrne and Brian Eno. I then want to take the above actions, then put the fire out by urinating on it. I despise that song with a passion.
And then there's pretty much anything by The Killers.

I have kids so I frequently have some inane children's song stuck in my head."Weeeee are your friends, the Backyaaaaardigans........" :D That one sticks in my head, since my wife and I babysit my granddaughter.
Also, when someone calls us, my head automatically does a Wonder Pets thing: "The phone...the phone is ringing..."
The barber who cuts my hair, he's got little ones at home. So once when I was in for a cut, we got to talking about kids and their favorite TV shows. And he tells me he knows those songs too. In fact, he says, one time he and the other barber, also a young guy with kids, had two customers in their chairs who also had kids, and the subject of kids' shows came up.
I swear to God this is true -- he says all four of them ended up singing "The Backyardigans" theme together.
I'd've given anything to see that. A true barbershop quartet! :p

"I love myself; I want you to love me
When I feel down; I want you above me

I don't want anybody else

My iTunes Top 25 Most Played is littered with embarrassing tracks with 100+ plays on them. Ugh. I'm blessed enough to be able to have multiple songs stuck in my head at once. In some way for me it's not so much how embarrassing the individual songs are, it's how much they get played. For example: All the Things She Said by t.A.T.u with 124 plays, Every Other Time by LFO with 65 plays, It Wasn't Me by Shaggy with 92 plays......you get the picture.
