Running PHP and Perl on OSX 10.3 iBook

Hey, I was stating to run my iBook as a server and all the things work for the html based part of the site but when I tried the php and perl it doesn't work. I edited the httpd.conf file so it loads and adds the php and perl modules and restarted Apache but it still doesn't seem to work.

Can anyone help me? thanks!

Personally if I ever need apache, php, mysql I just download and install this

turn off web sharing first though
