Maybe listed in another thread, but I just stumbled on it now. This is getting out of control, and I'm sure they'll only get smaller.

These will only get smaller to a point. Smaller is boring. You can only get so small. I'm more interested in what new technology will replace everything that we have now.

I agree...I want a hard drive that reads/writes data at over 1GB/sec with out spinning the darn thing at 20,000 RPM. Right now the hard drive is the slowest part of a computer(besides the optical drive, but thats irrelevant!).

i'm still waiting for affordable flash drives. imagine putting a hard drive with no moving parts in a fanless G4 iMac Cube... a total stealth desktop.
i did manage to find a 40gig flash drive, but it cost $35,000 and you had to be a military contractor to buy it.
