Problem with iTunes

Just installed iTunes on my father PC, XP Pro 2GB RAM dual core. Looks like it installed correctly, as it asked do I want to launch once install is finished. Selected yes, and nothing. Tried opening it from the shortcut, but the windows not responding box comes up.

Any ideas why this is happening?
