StudioMX & Adobe CS, which is best for web design?

I have been learning on the Studio MX suite on building a web page for the first time, and I'm pretty happy with it, but I have not yet tried Adobe's CS of software to see how they fair up. My question is what is everyone's perferred route of software they use for building a website. Do you just use all the Studio MX software exclusivly, or use just the Adobe CS software, or if you take the best of both worlds (ex. Photoshop intead of Freehand and Dreaweaver instead of GoLive)? Any replies would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

imo, Adobe is superior.

i use: Adobe PS CS, BBEdit, FlashMX2004 Pro
that's a very powerful lineup - you can do just about anything.

I'm in college and currently in an online media class. To build webpages we use:

Photoshop CS
Illustrator CS
Dreamweaver MX 2004
Flash MX 2004
Director MX 2004
Fireworks MX 2004

I highly recommend all these applications. They are very powerful and easy to use web design tools.

Seems like everyone's recommending a combination. It really comes down to what type of Web sites you'll be building. If you're going to be building anything with a lot of database integration, you'd probably be better with Macromedia. If high-quality images are more important to you, Adobe's probably better. I think most people use Photoshop/Illustrator for creating images, and most people use Dreamweaver/Fireworks/Flash for building Web pages.

Personally i always use photoshop to make the design, then i usually slice it in fireworks...i prefer it to using image ready, and then i will use dreamweaver mx to do the html, or sometimes i use note tab for the coding, depends on the job

It makes more sense to use a combination since Macromedia Fireworks is less of a photo editor than Adobe Photoshop and that Adobe no longer sells a Flash competitor.

To me, it makes sense to use Photoshop, Freehand, Flash and either GoLive or Dreamweaver and Fireworks or ImageReady.
