Buying an eMac what to look for or test

hi guys i am buying an eMac for my nephew,
ao wanted to ask for some advice i have never
bought a second hand computer before so
don't really know what to look out for.

There really isn't much.
Just make sure all the specs are right, by going to System Profiler.
Also make sure it turns on, by turning it on yourself.
I guess you could also check all the ports work...:rolleyes:

For me, getting one of the later models (1.25ghz / 1.42ghz) was worthwhile, they have USB 2.0 which the earlier ones don't - updating an iPod or any external USB drives will be very slow under USB 1.0.

yea only just realized the model i'm planning to buy only has usb 1, but it's got 1gb ram 1ghz processor and 80gb hard drive and super drive for £50

if i get a and external hardrive in the future i will get a firewire one

otherwise it seems a good deal
