Speaking of liars, this morning on NPR I heard Richard Perle excoriate the Spanish Prime Minister-elect at length for saying that the Iraqi people were better off with Saddam in power. Not that the Spanish Prime Minister-elect had actually said such a thing. Where does this all end? On November 2, I hope.

I was initially very excited about the Bush administration. But, as much as I hate to admit it, I am 90% sure I will note for for him again. This is just another reason... I am sick of the lies already.

If you want a Government knee deep in lies, you should try the UK. But saying that the footage was good.

i think what some forget is that Rumsfiled is suppose to be Super-Christian. He should be above lying. Plus the lie is about a war! This goes to the heart of what this country and Iraq have been going through for the last year plus!

I hope so too. The movie's 51 seconds long, just long enough to add a Moveon.org tag to it.
However, two factors that would work against it: first of all, it'd be much more expensive to run a :60 commercial than a :30, and second, I don't know that CBS would give Moveon.org the rights to use a piece of one of their programs. (Not implying any bias, just that networks don't want to become embroiled in "taking sides".)
I think this is why you see the "e-mail this to a friend" link. If making a TV commercial out of this is not feasible, this is the next best way to pass the word.

What? Only 90%? The other 10% is in denial. :D I live in Texas though, so he will get our electoral votes regardless.

Hearing people say that makes me so extremely happy. God I hope this ends in November.

I don't know about you guys but if someone wrote down every public word I spoke then asked me a few weeks even days after what exactly I said I would have no idea of the exact wording I used. It would suck to be anyone in the public eye all the time.

Apparently upset at being made a fool, Donald Rumsfeld has decided to be better prepared to face tough interviewers. Below, Rumsfeld prepares to be interviewed by Paula Zahn.

Agree with you there. Then again, you would think that someone in the public eye, before refuting that he said something, would be smart enough to check if he did, indeed, say that thing...
Or maybe not.

This wasn't just him not remembering what he ate for dinner last night. this was the basis for going to another country and starting a war
You would think he would remember why he wanted to start a war!
