Interesting. I'll be watching to see what they can do with the iPhone/iPod touch platform.

yes!! finally! I hate SimCity and I was hoping EA would release a Sims game for the iPhone!

I'm almost glad that they're delaying it until June 2nd, that way we know that (hopefully) all the bugs will be worked out and it will be more like a console game than many of the other games. I just hope they get this one right and don't screw it up!!

I'll be curious to see what form it takes on the iPhone... how will it compare in terms of feature richness to the PSP and DS versions?

I haven't played the previous Sims games, personally, but per my understanding, previously, with the Sims, the handheld versions are more like mini games based on the universe of the full Sims game, correct? Like isn't one of them a sort of survival / reality TV show featuring Sims?

With Spore, the iPhone version was well thought out and designed, but it only included the very first segment of the game, making it much shorter and less rich even than the DS version. On the other hand, more recently, Sim City is fairly detailed and feature rich on the iPhone. It'll be interesting to see what the actual form of Sims 3 for the App Store will be.

And is this a possible candidate title for the rumored premium games section?
