I was happily trying to jailbreak my 2G iPod Touch, but then I came across a screeching halt when I found out I couldn't do the simplest step of the jail breaking process, the shift-click.

My computer is a 64-bit Windows Vista and the iTune is at its latest version 8.0.2. I tried to install previous versions, but they all had some problems so I couldn't use those. Is there any way I could get over this problem?

Can you describe what happens when you do the shift-click? Oh, and I've also heard that redsn0w doesn't play well with 64-bit Vista.

Well, there's a solution for the vista-64 problem with the libUSB. Just type Vista 64 bit libusb, and there will be a tutorial of how to get over it. The Shift-Click process is basically when the iPod Touch is in DFU Mode/White Screen, you Hold the Shift Key and click the Restore Button, which enables you to choose what firmware you want to restore to.

In my case, how many times or variation I did, I can't choose the firmware and it goes straight into the latest official firmware...
