You could either use an hdmi-DVI cable if your xbox has an HDMI output, or use a microsoft VGA cable. With the hdmi-DVI cable, you would need a audio dongle that comes with an elite, or with the microsoft HDMI kit for $50. However, I picked up one of these used from a gamestop for $5. You could also hack a component cable to build your own.

With the VGA cable, you would need a RCA- 1/8" jack adaptor for audio. probably available from Radioshack or online.

I don't know if there would be any advantage of using HDMI over VGA or vice-versa. Maybe matching your monitors resolution of 1680 x 1050 would make the difference. I'm pretty sure the VGA cable can output 1680 x 1050.
