jaguar for G4?

Does anybody know if the Jaguar kernel is optimized for altivec ISA?

im not too chure.. but it probably isnt -- the main reason it is so much faster on most g4s is cause they have the best video cards since jaguar completely takes all the grafix load of the cpu.

Mac OS X is already optimized for the G4. What's great with Jaguar is Quartz Extreme, as well as a more optimized system.
