guys and girls, i've been noticing a worrying trend of incivility in the political threads of late. frohickey, particulary, has been getting scorched lately, and not for flaming first, but just for presenting his position. now i don't agree with frohickey on nearly anything, but i always try to be civil, though i may not always succeed. i just want to ask that everyone pause, take a deep breath, and then continue with your posting - just with less acrimony. let's not turn the political forums into a place where considered debate is stifiled under petty insults.

D'accord.

That we have the anonymity of the Internet is no reason to behave as the political leaders and their campaign advisors as to slanders and slurs. :D

Lordy, it's a long time until November!

There have also been a lot of very smug "sarcastic" comments that have preceeded any purported flaming.
