macOS Does Mac OS X Bluetooth support Serial Port Profile (SPP?)

Does the OS include support for this profile? And if so, does the default BT on all the laptops support it as well?? I'm interested in using it for a project, but there's not a lot of info that I could find on Apple's developer site.
