I'm planning to upgrade my mum's PC. But i'm not sure what RAM i should get..

Currently her specs are..

Intel Pentium 4 Processor 534 Supporting Hyper Threading Technology

3.06GHz, 1MB L2 Cache. 533 MHz FSB 90nm

512MB PC4200 DDR2

Will this RAM be fine?

Since its DDR2 as well and have the 533 MHz but thats PC4300?

RAM speed and FSB are often different, I'd stick to PC4200.

I see i see. Hopefully i can find a 4200.

But what would happen if i get those and stick it into the PC?

It will work, it will just run slower at the 4200 speed.

I don't know where you are, but newegg.com has a large selection to choose from.
