Anyway, when I work at school using Photoshop CS3 on G5s, I'm able to save Tiffs to a Hitachi external HD through FW800 just fine. But when I edit using my MBP (2.4ghz, 4gb ram, about 18gb left on HD, 3,1 santa rosa I guess), it saves pretty slowly. Also, when I use the school's iMacs (pretty much the same specs as my MBP but w/ 3gb ram), it saves pretty quickly.
I'm wondering if there's a setting I have to deal with, or if my HD's too full (don't see how it'd make a difference since I'm not saving to it). I only have firefox, lightroom, and photoshop open right now.
Anyone have any ideas?
