Hey Guys,
I recently had my power adapter stop working and I was thinking of taking it in for repairs. The thing is that I'm not 100% sure its the adapter that came with my computer because a bunch of friends have the same laptop and we might of got the adapters mixed up.
Anyways my question is, is there a serial/unique identifier on that adapter that is paired with your computer?
Any help would be great, thanks!

like what they say.
but...
45W adapter - macbook air
60W adapter - macbook
85W adapter - macbook pro
MacBook air - can only use 45W
MacBook - can use 60W and 85W
MacBook Pro - can only use 85W
so make sure you have the 60W adapter.

Or I guess you could say "make sure you have at LEAST the 60W adapter" ?
I was thinking of getting an 85W adapter to use at home on my desk. That way if I ever got a MBP or a friend brought one and needed power, I'd be covered for all scenarios.
