Hi everyone,

I'm new to all this hardware stuff. I'm running a 2.16GH Macbook Pro 2GB. I would like to know what is different between the following two harddrives? And which one is a better value? Thanks

Western Digital WD3201ABYS 320GB Re SATA II 7200 Rpm 3.5-Inch Drive

All depends on what you're using the HD for, how much space you need, etc etc etc

First tell us what you're doing and then we can tell you what to get.

I have about 130GBs worth of iTunes media.. I run the Adobe Suite & Office. Those are basically my main applications. I actually would like something on the 500GB scale, but I haven't seen any in the 2.5" format.

That one Seagate is 7200 however whereas the WD tops out at 5400... :/

Reason why I got the WD was because it was the only thing available at the time. If I was getting it now, I'd probably go for the Seagate.

I like the Seagate as well, although I'm satisfied with my other WD HDs, I think I'm going to go with the faster Seagate. Thanks everyone!
