HI,

I'm looking to buy a new iBook or Powerbook. I'm thinking aobut the 14inch iBook or the 12inch Powerbook. I know there are a few differences but dont really know what it all means. The previous generation powerbooks had L3 cache, does this effect the G4 iBook?

I wil be using it mainly for school - notes, papers, presentations. I will also be using illustrator and photoshop frequently. I will be using Final cut pro for some of my school projects. :D

COuld someone please explain the (dis)advantages of the 2.

Thanks alot

RC

Why don't you get the new "Power ibook"? it's got the best of both worlds, but they only sell it at the Topeka Apple Store in Kansas. :p

I suspect that illustrator, photoshop and final cut pro are all going to be processor and ram intensive. The PB would likely cope better, especially if you could afford the 15 which has a better graphics card etc

In either case get as much ram as you can afford.
