Is this a good trade (I'm on the PC side, trading for a Macbook)

Macbook- 13.3" White "About a year old"

HP: ~50GB HDD, 1GB Ram, 1.66 Core Duo processor, Webcam, 15.5" Screen (Something like that)., All-in-one Card reader.
Bought it new for close to 400$

It would help to have specs on the MB, but assuming it's in good working order and nothing's missing (disks, etc.), I'd say you're getting a good deal on the trade.

Check it closely for things like screen quality, battery life, etc. before you trade.

Nope. Nowhere near a close deal.

Assuming the Macbook is a year old, its running a Core2Duo chip, more RAM, much larger HD, and more than likely, better build quality.

But since you'd be getting the Mac, its a good deal for you I suppose 😛

If you can, get the serial number from the MacBook. You should be able to use that to lookup the specs, build date, etc. online.

get the spec on the macbook. find out what the processor is. if it is in fact a core 2 duo macbook, make the trade before your trading partner realizes that he's being taken!

I'd say do it. Think about it, $400 for a year old white MB! Year olds go for about $700-$800.

If there's Apple care left, or if you can extend it... then that's an even bigger bonus.
