So, I will be flying in a couple days, and I need some kind of a stand for my iPhone to watch movies. Problem is, I don't have time to go look for one in a store and I don't think they sell them here at the airport (Vienna). So any of you made your own stand? I saw some made of paper clips, but I'm kinda hesitant taking that on a plane, with the strict security and all :p

Like so....
You are already carrying a stand (if your a dude, probably, I don't know).
1. Open wallet.
2. Use to prop up iPhone:
I did this on a recent flight to watch movies, worked great. :D

Wow! Now that's genius :p Just tried it and it works great!
You just saved me a lot of time searching and $$ on buying a stand! :p

The little fold down airplane table is a little low. I put a pillow on the table then put the 'stand' on that for hours of comfortable viewing.
I watched Wanted, Step Brothers and Baby Mama all on one flight using that 'stand'.

Your going to get some severe eyestrain if you think its a good idea to look at such a small screen at a far distance. Airplanes actually move a decent amount.
Your best bet is to just hold it with two hands

If it would be my usual 2 hour flight I would. But it's 4 times longer :p
I'm still debating wether to take my MacBook, as I will for 99% getting the new one there anyway.

I just use a apple dock and turn it on it's side.

I tried that but the angle is practically 90° which is kinda useless :x

How would holding it with two hands decrease eye strain? All it would do is increase wrist strain.
Like I mentioned before, I watched about 6 hours worth of movies on one flight, my eyes felt fine. The screen may be small, but it sure is nice quality.

OK so I came up with a solution. While I was looking for my camera cable, I found my PSP stand. And guess what? It's just perfect for the iPhone! Now to convert all those movies
