Here we go again. They're taking a $39 card (it's a generic Philips tuner), bundling some software with it, and selling it for $119.

I got one, the SMIL version (without Radio), it seem to be ok. I wish I could do more with the Audio in and Out ports on the card. Audio in doesn't sound very good and Audio out only out puts sound from the TV Tuner (not from the system). Also if you connect speakers to Audio out on the Tuner and also play it through the system sound, you hear an echo.

Picture quality is great, the recording capabilities need a pretty powerful computer (my PM G4 466 struggles). The software is hard to set up and there are a lot of bugs. The physical remote control is excellent since you can make it control any program you like.

Also don't trust the DVR recording program to record important TV shows, something usually goes wrong.

So what? At least there's a PCI TV-card available for the Mac now (well, actually meilenstein.de sells this card since 02 or so).
