As many of you know there's a application called installous which allows you to get free apps. The only thing is when I open it it tries loading the page then it stops but sometimes it will work
What should I do
I've even re-installed a numerous amount of times and re-downloaded it
Any help would be nice

not really, one is stealing and the other isnt. jailbreaking adds functioanlity to the phone, it isnt hurting developers

I didn't hear any piracy. :)
Anyways, yeah, one is stealing an app by cracking and not paying for it. Jailbreaking just modifies the device you purchased to allow you to customize and do other things with it. The former is illegal while the latter is only against Apple's TOS.

kind of a ironic situation.
For people who don't know stealing is wrong, I suppose it is. You might want to ask the people who pay your phone bill about this.

Nope.

A flawed argument, having nothing to do with the topic at hand and proving nothing on your side...
I'm curious as to how stealing something ELSE makes stealing this an okay thing...
Can you atleast let us know where we can get some help from?
Somewhere less reputable.

i never said stealing was right
i was simply saying that altering apart of apples software seemed very similar to using installous or appulous or crackulous.
instead of targeting small time devs your targeting a big corporation.

either way it just seemed ironic to me (of course im for jailbreaking)

There's all kinds of programs that CAN be used for illegal activity. Just because it's possible doesn't mean the program itself is illegal.
Also, violating Apple's TOS isn't illegal. It just voids your warranty. Big difference.

If the saying "he without sin cast the first stone" has any weight then Tallest Skil must have a shiny halo and wings.

Don't target the individual for the horde.
Say anything that's morally questionable around here and you're gonna get swarmed.

No, actually it's still not illegal. There's no law stating you cannot violate a company's TOS. The company can however choose to sue you in a legal action, which is different. :)
This is why jailbreaking and using Installous for cracked applications are nothing alike at all. :)

Linking your credit card to your itunes account and using it to download apps directly to your phone, the simplicity of that is enough to justify paying $0.99 for a must have app.
