For what it's worth…
:o
Frequent or long-term marijuana use may raise a man's risk of testicular cancer, American research suggests.

The study of 369 men, published in the journal Cancer, found being a regular marijuana user doubled the risk compared to those who never smoked it.

From the article :

"So before we can reach any firm conclusions about whether this is a cause-and-effect relationship, rather than a statistical blip, the result needs to be replicated in a much larger study."

I don't know whether to laugh and tell you that's one of the funniest things I've ever heard, or say "shame on you."

I'm leaning towards the former. :D

Damnit, beat to the joke, I was going to follow typical PRSI logic, A might cause B, X has B therefor X must have done A.

That's why I smoke all my cannabis oil...

So are they sure it's the pot and not the increased snack food intake?

Of course smoking marijuana increases the chances of getting any type of cancer... it is still breathing in smoke primarily composed of carbon.

In that case normal breathing has the same effect.

Who is the they you are referring to?

Not breathing gives you zero chance of cancer.

And 'normal' breathing does indeed increase your risks of cancer. We've long known correlation between air pollutants (i.e. coal mining towns and big citites) and increases in the risk of cancer. But I've no idea on the relative risk of being at a high risk location vs smoking pot regularly so the equate the two is possible a little disingenuous.

Nowadays anyone will tell you anything causes cancer.

Why, just last week I did some research that says sitting for more than an hour causes poor voice quality.

Seriously?! There's too many people telling us this and that is bad, get on with it.

Lung cancer, throat, mouth... those I could see. Testicular? I think we need to look at your smoking techniques...:D

OMG! Living greatly increases your risk of cancer. Studies have shown that the risk of cancer is much higher in the living, comprising nearly all recorded cancer cases (within the margins of error). Scientists are reluctant to call death the cure for cancer until further research can validated these findings.

Everyone at risk should perform an exam. Feel for bumps about the size of a small peanut on the testicle. Have fun. :D

And you wonder why medicinal marijuana users prefer using a vaporizer over actually smoking a joint.

When you essentially inhale the burned smoke of almost anything you end up with a long list of poisonous chemicals being ingested by your body. That's why cigarette smoking is so dangerous besides ingesting tar and nicotine.

Your body is a machine. When one part of it gets weak, other parts either make up for it or get weaker along with it.
