If you are willing to install it yourself, are there better batteries for the iPhone?

Any more powerful batteries out there you can get for the iphone? I was looking at the iphone take apart and the 3G apparently doesnt have a soldered battery?
 
It would be nice to do but I wouldn't want to mess my phone up for good. I broke down and bought the incase power slider. I saw a thread on here a while back and a guy put an extra battery in his.
 
:apple:I have seen them on eBay some say 50X as much power but they weigh considerably more possibley putting a strain on the phone. I have and would never attempt it just go for an external one.:apple:

Well I fix apple computers all day, so I like a challenge 😉
