I've decided to get the white book because i cant justify breaking the $1000 barrier, however my question is. Can i get this new mac book for any cheaper than $939? thanks

You could if you knew someone that worked for Apple... ;)
Otherwise, the 6% military/gov't discount (you are active duty, right?) is about as good as it gets. Beats the US edu discount by almost $20.

If money is that big of an issue for you then you need to consider a refurbished MacBook. They go through a more thourgh QA process and are often times better than a new unit.

I don't think they have refurbished MacBooks with NVIDIA graphics yet.
