iPod free downloads for lost purchases??

Hi,

I've heard that iTunes will now allow you to download, for free, any purchases that have been lost due to hard drive failures, etc.
Is this true?

sorry then go to the bottom and email them with your information and your problem... they will respond.. and as far as i know they will give you al your lost purchased muscic back

Do you know if it applies to video purchases?

Is there a limit to how far back in your purchase history that this applies to?

i'd like to know how all this works out because i lost a lot of stuff for this same reason- audio books too.
 
i had a couple problems when i tried to download stuff so i reported the problem through my iTunes purchase history, unfortunately i had to go song by song, and they let me download them again for free. if you're redownloading loads of songs this is not the most efficient way...
