I was watching special edition dvd of the holy grail, and they have a featurette where they go back 25 years later to most of the main locations. When they were at the cave, they were trying to find a hill where the holy hand grenade was, and so to jog their memory, they broke out a powerbook G3 and played the dvd on a scenic scottish hillside. They commented about how 25 years ago you could only see the movie in a theater, and now you can play it widescreen on this marvelous little machine...

I'll bet that back when they were filming it 25-odd years ago they didn't dream they'd be able to come back and watch some of the best comedy ever, on location.

I'd like to get the whole collection. Just got Life of Brian so far......

Man, they slaughtered the script so bad, it's hilarious.

MP is fairly popular here in the states, especially on "Comedy Central", a cable channel devoted to comedy programming.

I don't think many of the younger kids these days are familiar with it...but my parents exposed me to them early on.:eek:

Man, I haven't seen neither Holy Grail or Life of Brian... the damn Japanese rental stores don't even have them... grrr :mad:

But, I have seen Flying Circus and Meaning of Life... and they are both soo HILARIOUS!!!!! hehehe.. Monty Python is just starting to become big here.. its weird... after so long... oh well...

I'm gonna have to use my summer job pay to buy the DVDs... I guess it will be worth it :D :D

If you watch Python, you can see so much that is not only funny but incredible intelligent. It is without a doubt some of the best commentary on human existence that has ever been fabricated for the box called television.

Of course, the movie "The Meaning Of Life" really does have the meaning of life.

My favorite part is when death confronts the americans after eating the bad fish.
