I have a lacie little big disk FW800 raid drive.
I use it to edit on the go on my powerbook g4.
But when I hook to my Mac Pro it does not seem fast enough to handle FCP or Soundtrack projects (just in DV). It causes Soundtrack to hang almost 99% of the time, so I have to switch to a internal drive.
Also another weird thing is when I am just surfing the net, while the drive is plugged in, the computer will randomly access it and cause a beachball for a second or two.
