Hey there,
I'm developing the first (i believe- haven't found any app related to mine) Firefighter 'Training' app. Yes, this will be a job specific app directed entirely towards firefighters. In short (and to not give out all the details, lol) there are many, many firefighter topics. You click on the specific topic, and it gives you a quiz off the topic you selected. It then tallys up your score for the section, and overall, etc.
What I can't come up with is a name, lol. I'd love to hear from you experienced app users what a good name for my app would be. I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

What fun! I used to do this (naming products/companies) for a living. There's a website called eLance that is like eBay for Freelancers. You post a job and people bid on the job. I used to charge $400 for proposing names (with dot coms) and taglines. Not a huge living, but it paid the bills in between regular jobs!
So, here are some freebies. Also, check out www.NameThis.com from Kluster.com. Neat service.

FlashFire (Flash cards + Firefighter)
5 Alarm
Trial By Fire
Fighting Fire
FiremanApp (FiremanApp.com is available, at least for now!)
Firefighter Exam Prep (that's the name of the standardized test, so best for search engines)
FireFighterEDU (FireFighterEDU.com is available)
iFightFire or iFightFires (both .coms are taken though)

To all that submit me a name, I'll do my best to credit you in the app.

Your ability to think of names that are catchy and actually make sense is impressive.

Gosh, thanks!
It's fun. I actually own about 100 domains because I have more ideas than time! Contact me if you are a potential developer without an idea or app name!

what about iFighter? For the app icon, make it a fire or something so it doesn't sound like a plane flying game ;)

Personally, I'd try and stay away from the i(insert name here) anything bandwagon. Pick a name that has marketing value and best portrays what your app actually does :)
