Apple is releasing new software called iPort. The software shares your buddy list with iChat. It will not work with a PC. The software comes with a chrome mesh disk about 12" in diameter. You put the disk in your chair or another chair within 10' of your Mac. Anyone on your buddy list that has iPort also has a chrome mesh disk, they can place it in their chair or a chair within 10 feet of their computer. iPort requires a high speed internet connection and WiFi. If someone on your buddy list is setting on the disk it will be grayed out in your list.
You open the program, it has an interface much like iChat, but beside each of your buddies is an icon that looks like the chrome disk. You drag your picture at the top of the dialog box into your buddies icon. In about the time that it takes to send a jpeg file you appear setting on the ring at the location of your buddies chrome disk. Now wait, you can not get up and walk over to the refrigerator, just your image is on the chair.
The next update will have a smaller chrome mesh dish to make it more portable. :D lol
