Voice to Text Translator???

I know there are apps out there which allow you to speak a name to pull up a contact and dial, text or email them. But I am looking for an app that will translate a spoken message into email or a text. Does anything like this exist or is there anything in the works?

I, too, hope for one to emerge - and the sooner, the better. Something like the "Dragon, naturally Speaking" or "MacSpeech".

Maybe I should have clarified. I'm looking for a voice alternative to typing an email or a text to someone.
