I'm looking to get a battery upgrade or replacement for my Santa Rosa Macbook.

Preferably, I'd like something that's going to replace and greatly extend the life of my OEM Apple battery.

Anyone have any suggestions as to where / what to buy? I've been doing some googlin' and I haven't really found anything of worth, and the E-bay batteries look really sketchy.

*edit*

No, I don't want to buy the battery from the Apple Store.

The Santa Rosa macbook is the plastic cased white/blackbook, either 2 or 2.2ghz spec. The link you posted is for the Unibody macbooks. This is the correct battery: http://www.ifixit.com/MacBook-Parts/MacBook-Battery/IF186-009, but even then, it's not a larger capacity like the OP was looking for.

These guys were mentioned in a thread on here I came up on via Google: http://fastmac.com/laptop.php

I'm still kind of confused why the OP needs a new battery already. Didn't the SR's come out around Leopard release. His MacBook is still a pup.

They were introduced 10/31/2007. Plus, maybe he just wants a higher capacity battery for road-use. I know I would upgrade to a higher cap. battery if I could as well!

The batteries are thirty dollars more expensive than the third party deals. I figured that the Macbook (Plastic) has been around long enough to get a company interested enough into making a better battery for it, while also outdoing Apple on their pricing.

This is kind of what I'm looking for *thanks "NewMacbookPlz"*, I kept finding stuff for older models, but nothing for the Macbook like this.

For instance, that's 99.95, while the Apple Store is 129.99 and iFixit sells the same watt hour one I have currently.

However, fastmac is out of stock on that battery, and have been for at least a week and a half. :(
