changing icons / themes... ?

ok maybe im just simple but i just jailbroke my 3g and im ready to change some things around, but i have NO CLUE how to do this... i have installer, i have cydia..... now what? lol

and here i thought i was computer / electronic savy :(

Open cydia, download winterboard. Then download themes / icons. Use winterboard to apply. I found it all pretty self-explanatory.

ok i donwloaded customize and it keeps saying "can not access offline files" even though i am connected to wifi....

how do i delete customize? it wont let me delete it like i can delete other apps

and im getting winterboard now, thanks!

like night said, just search for winderboard and download it. there is a theme already installed. to apply which theme you want, just tap and check the item you want. press the home button and it will re-spring.

In cydia go to sections and you will find tons of themes to dload.

Don't worry, it will seem easy after a few days :D

the program seems EXTREMELY generic... "user wallpaper"... "user lock background" etc etc

when i click it, click home and it applies... but how do i find / use other themes via winterboard? there are no options, just that one screen... :confused:


also, how do i delete customize or winterboard if i wanted to? when i hold down to enter the "reorganize / delete app" mode, there isnt an option to delete them

I suggest you read the instructions in the "Home" section of Cydia first. Then try clicking on all the other icons in the bottom row to explore. If you still have questions after all that, we'll be glad to try to help you.

If you read what I said and took a deep breathe you would have saw what I said...go into sections and look for themes. Dload them and they check them in WB. Respring.

Do you see an icon inside Cydia called "manage"? Click on that. Tap "Packages." Find app you want to delete. Tap that app. Tap "modify" button in the upper right corner. Select "remove."

ok so i like orbs but i dont like the icons...

is there a way to just download icons and apply it to the orbs theme?

also, how do i get just icons? it seems like everything is a bundle package of everything
