Thought this was pretty good nerd humor...

It's time to party like it's 1234567890 – 'cause it is! On this Friday, Feb 13 at exactly 3:31:30 PM (PST), Unix time (WTF is Unix time?) will equal '1234567890'.

Yea someone posted this over in the Mac Programming forum too, quite geek. I emailed a few people about it and I'm sure they think I'm nuts for caring about this.

print strtotime("Feb 13, 2009 3:31:30 PM PST"); // output: 1234567890

Believe it.... or not!

Gonna be one heck of a fast party, though! As soon as you count down to it, a second later, it's over! Plenty of nuts on this tree, angelwatt. ;)

Just a tip for finding out what time locally you need to celebrate, open up Terminal and put in the following command,
date -r 1234567890

Thread cross-reference: Unix to End the World on Friday the 13th!

In my opinion, you have to be pretty geeky to notice stuff like this. (Not that that's a bad thing.)

Less than a half hour left (http://coolepochcountdown.com/).

I expect that the Unix time pattern will cause robots (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zD45oO0ZO4) to turn on their masters, possibly by poisoning their drinks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CETUmThm8Rg).

On second thought, those robots seem pretty friendly, so maybe they will be OK, but I wouldn't turn my back on your DVD player if I were you.

That robot's head reminds me of E.T., and did you see how upset that robot got when that dude took his drink? That guy should definitely not turn his back on that robot.

That was so much fun that now I'm waiting for Friday, January 11, 2013, 9:18:00am PST. That's 1357924680 in Unix time. :D

You and me both..........

A buddy of mine sent me this:

"I forgot to wish you a happy "Unix 1234567890" day~I'm sure you are partying like there is no tomorrow..."

I got a chuckle out of it..
