My iphone 3G has been jailbroken with 2.2.1 for a few weeks now. A few days ago iTunes has started prompting me to download an update for my iphone.
I am obviously not downloading it, but I have not of heard of any mention of this on any blogs and what not. It's just annoying.
Is anyone else experiencing this? And what is it for considering I have the latest iphone OS?
*BTW I am running OS X.

It was posted on MacRumors. http://www.macrumors.com/2009/02/09/apple-issues-update-signaling-iphone-compatibility-with-atandts-microcell/
Its not really a Firmware update (you will still be at 2.1.1). Its an update for your signal and carrier settings.
EDIT: ugh. beaten.

Ohhh wow okay - now I put two and two together. So considering it's not firmware it's safe to download?
