How come when you put in a cd-r/rw, then if it's a 650MB, the computer only thinks it can store ~620 and same for a 700MB'er? If you use other programs, does it do the same thing?
Really? I didn't know that, thanks for the info.Originally posted by Beej
You can only fit 620 on a 650 because of all the other data written to the CD (which your computer needs in order to read and understand the CD). That's what 'preparing' and 'closing' a CD does.
Toast is very good, infact, I think it's the best burning app around for OSX, you won't regret it.Originally posted by cb911
i just hope Toast is as good as Nero
I didn't know that? What options does it bring up in this menu?Originally posted by dantec
Just one tip, in the main window, there are four buttons. The last one other, click and hold on it and it will display a menu.

You have to keep in mind that you're comparing a multi-function, free, built-in app to a specialised CD burning app.
Once you get Toast, then you can complain about how it doesn't stack up to Nero (it does fall behind in some areas). Until than, just be happy you can burn CDs at all
On another note, does anyone know if Toast 5 Ti can burn CD-TEXT? And if it can, is the SuperDrive (140) capable of handling it? I remember my old burned didn't support it...
yeah, i see your point. the CD burner that comes with Win XP is pretty dodgy.
