My powerbook has a mat****a superdrive. I am not able to use DVDBackup to backup any of my dvds. It seems to work flawless on my iMac. Whats going on? I read somewhere that the mat****a drives can not be accessed "rawly". Is this true? And, is there not any way to flash the firmware? Also, VLC will not play other region DVDs with this drive.

Play the dvd for a few seconds then try DVDBackup.

man, I'm really beginning to wonder if we really need the swearing filters. I mean, matsush-i-ta being censored is just crazy. So is censoring ****ake mushrooms (s-h-i-take). :D

Actually, it's "shiitake" mushrooms, so it won't be censored. :p But I agree, I'm not too fond of any filters. But at least the filter is reasonable and the admins are not anal like some other forums I used to visit *coughMacOSX.comcough*.
