freezing up with error messages

Can anybody tell me what might cause a type 10 error...I 've got the 'ol bomb and fuse exploding on my screen-- and I wish I knew why-- if there is any help out there-- I can sure use it..my computer keeps freezing before I even get anywhere on it-- please help, calling all Macs-- does anybody read me? :confused:

well, a type 10 error is (according to the books) a "line 1111 trap error."

i don't know what that means, but it sounds like a system thing (ie, not a quick fix.) have you run disk warrior or anything?

It would be helpful if you could give us some information about your machine. It sounds like your running Mac OS 9. Did you install anything before this error? Does it do this in the Finder, or in a specific application or what? We need a little more information.
