ok, so i've found all the details to over clock the cpu on my imac g3 700mhz (http://web.archive.org/web/20071130000014/http://www.bekkoame.ne.jp/~t-imai/imacde1.html go to the bottom) so what do you lot think i should clock it to? ideally i would like to go to 1ghz. and i know il need to fit a fan :P :L

i have also read that you can clock your L2 cache (tehe ^^) using some software called CPU director by powerlogix. the problem is that the software is only computable with os x 10.4.9 and bellow. im running 10.4.11 -.- how can i temporarily downgrade? and do any of you think its a good idea?

any feed back will be really appreciated :)

thanks

When overclocking, you should start at the next step to see how reliable it runs. Start at 750mhz and see if it runs stable if so then go up the next step until it either doesn't turn on or freezes/crashes and go back to the last mhz. I doubt it will even start up if you go to 1ghz but you never know. Adding another fan will definitely be a necessity if you do overclock it ;).
