anyway to get the weather on the lockscreen?

It doesn't slow down mine, and you could just use winterboard to get the weather on your Lockscreen
I don't know if this is what you are looking for but is does display the weather on the lockscreen, found here:http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1199037&postcount=3640, just download the file and follow the readme

I just installed it and it does make the system more sluggish. even typing is a bit lagged though for me thats not much of an issue. uninstalling it did not help for a bit it was back to normal so maybe over time things get faster again.
I found one called Wad Widget that seems to work though I had to figure out ssh and find a app that did not crash and get connected.

I'm currently using Homescreen 2.0, and it's working okay. But you're going to need Winterboard to use it. I've also tried Wbapp which comes with a Weather Widget. You might be able to use that one without Winterboard. You can also use the widget on your homescreen.
