Help with Plex

I need help with Plex. I really want to like this app but I need some help.
First off I have a 1.83 core2duo macbook. It has the gma950 and blueray playback is not good. The way I understand it is Plex uses the cpu, frontrow uses gpu. I have been reading the plex forums for the last few days but am still confused. I know some of you like plex, especially caveman.
I want to use itunes to keep everything organized because I use have an iphone and need itunes. With Plex media server I can keep everything in itunes and Plex reads it. All my media is on an external hard drive.
So I went to plex system/ system/ media center and made sure it was enabled. Then went to videos and add source and choose my itunes library on the external drive. I can see my movies now but no metadata, or artwork shows up. I really want this to work.
Also I love front rows music format compared to plex. Can i launch plex from front row for video playback?

i dont use the plex media server and i dont know if this is the case or not, but do you need to use the scrapper to get movie artwork, just like you do for any other source?

I have read it many times but still don't fully understand it. I thought I didn't have to use the scrapper. I dont want imdb meta I want the ones I taged with metax.
