I have a 1st gen ipod touch and have jailed it several times previously (using Quickpwn). However I recently upgraded to 2.2.1 and decided i wanted to jailbreak it once more however now whenever i try it gets stuck on the apple logo and i have to put it into recovery mode. I downgraded it to 2.2 and attempted to jailbreak it that way but that also got me no where.
Any advice/similar experiences would be welcome.

What OS are you using?
Are you using the latest QuickPwn? Look on the Dev Team's site for the direct link.
Also, try restoring the iPod completely with a DFU restore, then try Jailbreak.

best bet would be to restore and make sure your using latest quickpwn.
