With such figures, it becomes obvious that flash-based websites will have to develop some iPhone versions of their portal, or that Apple and Adobe find some agreement to allow the entry of the flash format into the iPhone OS.


Or it could be that Apple was right, in that Flash is not really necessary for a "full" Internet experience. It also demonstrates how different (in a positive way) the browser experience on an iPhone is compared with other mobile platforms.

It used to be that Flash was an excellent alternative for web developers to incorporate animations (simple or complex) into their websites or applications without dealing with sometimes-shaky Javascript. With the advancements that Webkit is making, these simpler animations can be achieved with little effort.

Unfortunately, IE still consumers a large chunk of the Personal Computer browser market share. =\

I'd still like to see flash on my iPhone, oh and some way of getting the chuffin Sky tv listings site to work properly

If you have a Sky Plus box, isn't there a site/app that'll do that, and let you record programs ou choose too?

You could always use a free website that does Sky listings...
