dog - Dante - 1/2 german shepard 1/2 rot but not very big for some reason (recessive traits?)
cat - Dazi - evil thing that even without claws tries to kill things
fish - 8 guppies, 1 "sucky" - one of the females is pregnant, interesting so more fish are on the way, but they are cool most of the time.....

I have over 100 stuffed animals in the house. Does that count?
Remember that nobody "owns" a cat. They own you. Just ask 'em!

I don't know about "owning" an animals. That just makes them sound like some piece of property.
It might be better to say "what kinda pets do you have"
I have 1 dog 2 cats...no fish at the moment.

I don't believe in owning animals and therefore have no pets.

Reminds me of a quote: "I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals." -- Winston Churchill.
I had an Irish Setter -- died about 6 months ago (at a ripe old age, and having had a very happy life, so it's not ALL sad). Unfortunately, I'm not in any position to get a new pet anytime soon (at least, nothing that requires space), but hopefully my parents are getting an English Setter soon! Hope with me...
As for "owning" animals, I think "owning" is perhaps a misleading term -- I much prefer "adopting", at least when it comes to dogs. They become a part of the family, and amazingly "human-like", and loving and loyal to the end. As for cats.... well, "yum"? Seriously, cats are autistic. ;)

right now one african pygmy hedgehog... my oldest passed away yesterday after a long battle with cancer :( and i lost two more last year from the same.
once we buy a house, i'm considering acquiring an albino raccoon, since albinos don't survive in the wild. i'm just not sure i'm up to the task of caring for such a mischievous animal...

and the noisy little buggers are always running on their wheels at all hours of the night making the worst amount of noise, and as I live in a small apartment in Japan and it is still quite cold, I do not have the heart to put them in the kitchen so I can hear them from the living room.
Cut little devils though and very friendly, they run around on the bed and sofa, open the cage door and they walk out on your hand and will just sit there until you put them down somewhee to 'play'. They have escaped a couple of times but will come back to you hand if ou just put it out in front of them.

2 gorgeous Abyssinian cats; unrelated but friendly as 2 brothers could be. Yours Truly Johnny Dollar is a Ruddy colored burly dude, and Solly is a Blue slinky little sock-puppet of a cat. They're the greatest.

You poor thing. Goldfish are awful pets. They do nothing but ruin a perfectly good fish tank.
