How about detailing your wants first?
"And stuff" isn't good enough.
And no, it doesn't use Flash or Java.

Wirelessly posted (David's Black 16GB iPhone 3G: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20)
I think he wants details like how everything comes together, i.e. coding turns into a picture, how the touch screen senses touches, how it is programmed, etc. Reading the iPhone Wikipedia page would be very helpful. And if you don't understand a word like HSDPA then click then find a Wikipedia page on it.

iPhone/iPod Touch uses Javascript, but does not support Flash yet. The screen on iPhone/iPod Touch is capacitive, which means that it senses touch by the transfer of electrons from your finger to the screen.
For a full list of the iPhone features, check out this Wikipedia article:

Or, For iPod Touch:

Hope that helps.

So when researching for your report you decided that rather than do the research yourself you would ask other people to do it for you?
Classy.
Why not just do your own homework?

Nothing you are doing is so advanced that you have to worry about trade secrets.

Good call. After all, why bother learning about the technology when you can just plagiarize?

If you don't see any moral objection to plagiarism then I don't really know how to convince you otherwise. I can say that if I were a prospective employer I'd be hesitant to hire someone with the attitude of "I may as well plagiarize since it probably won't come back to bite me."

If you quote information from a source and cite it properly, then no it's not plagiarism.

I actually find the quoting useful. I suppose it's a habit I picked up from USENET, but I find it helpful when trying to follow the thread of a conversation.
As for citations: that's something that I would have expected your teachers to have taught you about. At least when I was in high school it was still covered in all the classes that I had to write reports for. I'm afraid the best option is for you to ask your teacher how he/she wants you to cite your sources.

Put this:
(Tallest Skil. MacRumors:Forums. arn. 2001)
after the sentences that you use that have my information in them. Helpful if you ever need to write about the Mac Pro. :D
That's proper MLA format, too, so you can't be counted off for that.

well that helps a lot. i know how to do normal cites but am not sure how to do it when it is said verbally like this. cuz its not really part of a website.

it makes it easier for the rest of us to skim thru the important parts and focus on what he is answering.
calling someone a "smartass" on here isn't going to get you the assistance you want. all you'll get is a bunch of people jumping all over you and a bad reputation.
stay polite, appreciate any help you receive and learn what you can.
then you might realise why your teacher told you to come to this forum in this place... ;)

Well we already pointed you in the direction of a substantial amount of information. You then proceeded to point out that you didn't want to have to research for yourself, and would rather depend on forum members to do the searching for you. Do you see how we might be irritated by what we might perceive as a "do the work for me" attitude?
Without more specifics on what exactly you're after, it might be hard to provide detailed information. My advice would be to head to the Wikipedia articles and take a look at the specs listed there -- you can then read more from the linked sources or research the individual components. Many of the chips in the iPhone/iPod touch have published spec sheets (the NAND and CPU are easy to find based on their part number), so it should be pretty straightforward to go from there.

thanks for the help but i never asked anyone to do any searching for me. i simply ask for information. i figgered that anyone who knew something off the top of their head would be able to comment. i can see where you guys got the idea i wanted someone else to do my homework for me. i just wanted information and since we cant use Wikipedia i desperately need all the information i can get. i cant use the stuff one the CPU cuz i have not idea what the heck in means. we are only usin VB 98 or something like that. all i need is just stuff on the software. so any more question, please ask.
