Using Twitter to Advertise/Track Your App

A question to developers and app users.

Twitter is growing pretty fast and a lot of companies have taken advantage of it im wondering if any iphone developers have done the same and to what success. I'm not talking developer’s personal twitters i mean a twitter dedicated to an application or applications and their updates news etc. Any feedback would be great.

eh, both of us are on twitter and we do have an account for the company, but we don't use it much for advertising..

fair enough. the only apps ive really seen are twitter apps themselves, i know there are a few out there but havent really looked into them.

Before you know it they'll have a paid option for you. They already said they were going to start charging companies to twitter.

it does but ive seen 'follow me' links on sites for app or company specific twitters i guess that if they see the link like the app and have twitter they will follow you.
