Comment: Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance.

This is one of those tracks that's infectiously inane, I want to hate it but there's this *urge* to play it over and over and over and over...

My brother used to listen to quite a bit of Kraftwerk when I was growing up - I used to think it was pretty neat stuff, but then grew out of it, and was suprised to see this again - seems other people listen to it to. I'll get this, now that I know it's available. And you're right, it's quite monotonous, but in an infectuous kind of way. :)

I just also found 'Popcorn' which we heard waaaay back in elementary school. I didn't even know it's by Kraftwerk...
looking around i figured that 'Das Modell' has been translated to english (sounds terrible) But then I found Autobahn - I always liked that one. One can actually see them playing with the sound effects as you listen to them.

Strangely simple - yet revolutionary.
I guess everyone was somewhat strange at the time.

Popcorn isn't by Kraftwerk. Also, it is part of their charm that they awkwardly convert lyrics into English. I think both German and English versions were released at the same time, though.

Music Non Stop is good, but not their best

Unfortunately very little of their stuff is available on iTMS.

I don't know if this side effect was intended, but I find myself making more and more diversions to the likes of Amazon to pick up CD replacements for old albums and tapes, when iTMS has holes like that. It's just not worth the pain of digitizing and splitting up the old analog stuff, especially when it's and old and tired copy (unless the sucker is out of print or never made the transition to CD).

well, as a european, iTMS is one big hole in itself, so i get all my music from Amazon's 'new and used'. still works out cheaper than the former
