View Full Version : Intel Imac Ram began to shrink

i had re-installed of all my mac disks and then eventually installed Leopard and my ram had shrunk from 2GB to 1GB !

what went wrong ?

sounds like your computer isn't "seeing" both sticks of RAM, only one of them. turn off the computer and reseat them. see what happens.

its been restarted bout 4 times due to updates i made ?

ok... check the RAM. make sure it is seated correctly. you can check system profiler just to make sure. but i'm suspecting it will only recognizing one of them.

the system profiler is saying only 1 ram like ?

right. so it is only seeing one stick of RAM. remove them. put them back in. see if that solves the problem.
