i have used it and noticed a minor boost. now when i plug it in to my car i dont need to use 75 - 80% of the car volume. i use about 60% or so.

honestly I wounldn't know, I never tried it, i just seen the youtube video about it.

I just installed the 2.2 version of it. Honestly little changes like this are mental. Who knows if it increased. "seems louder" :D

Both, i would say it gives you an extra 20% volume. I could only tell the difference when i plug it in to my liquid aux adapter for my car. I use to have to set my car volume to near the max level. Now i don't have to go as high.

Holy crap I read that the wrong way. Too much school work, I was like "There's a package to give your iPhone more space??" :)

I don't need any louder volume, if I do, I boost certain songs in iTunes. :)

I've installed the Volume Boost app and I can honestly say, when using the iPod function I can notice a little bit of a difference.

When using the speaker phone function....I noticed a ZERO increase of volume.

Has anyone else noticed a difference when using the speaker phone??

I have the Mamacita number sounds I saved from Customize, and they are at least 100% louder with Volume Boost.

I didn't notice any increased volume in other areas of the iPhone, including the unlock sound (Mac startup chime),
and the lock sound (Windows XP shutdown sound).

I have problems with the earpiece volume when making phone calls. I'm pretty satisfied with teh speaker volume. Is there any way of making the earpiece louder? I tried Volume Boost for 2.2 but it didn't seem to help a whole lot.

That was only for the first iPhone. It is impossible to do this with the iPhone 3G. However, I did it with my old first gen iPhone, and the increase was very noticeable.

EDIT: I read wrong, you were talking about the earpiece. Oops.
