Iphone Sync With Iphoto

Hi, i synced my iphone with iphoto the other day using itunes...when i did this i assumed that all the photos taken on my iphone save automatically to iphoto without pressing the import button!!

my iphone has been reset now and all the photos deleted, is there anyway that i can retrieve these photos?or anywhere that the photos may have gone temporarily on my macbook?

If you iphone syncs with that itunes library then you should plug it in and when you restore it set it up as the old iphone and all the picture will go back on
